When Allah showed the mandate to the heavens, the earth and the mountains, all of them were not willing because they were worried that they would betray them, but then the message was accepted by humans.

The Word of God Almighty:

ا ا الْأَمَانَةَ لَى السَّمَاوَاتِ الْأَرْضِ الْجِبَالِ لْنَهَا ا لَهَا الْإِنْسَانُ انَ لُومًا لًا

Inna ‘arodnaal amaanata ‘alaas-samaawaati walardhi waljibaali faabaina ayyahmilnahaa wa asyfaqna minhaa wahamalahaal insaanu innahu kaana dholuumanjahuulan.

Meaning: “Indeed, we have put forward a mandate to the heavens, the earth and the mountains, so all of them are reluctant to carry out the mandate and they are afraid that they will betray it, and human beings carry the mandate. Ahzab: 72).

As believers, we are obliged to guard and maintain the mandate as well as possible, keeping the mandate is the nature of the muqarrabin angels, prophets and messengers and is a characteristic of good and pious people.

God Almighty says:

اللَّهَ ا الْأَمَانَاتِ لَىٰ لِهَا ا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ ا الْعَدْلِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ ا إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ ا ا

innal-llaha yes, murukum an tuaddul amaanaati ilaa experthaa wa idaa hakamtum bainan-naasi antahkumu bil’adli innalloha ni’immaa ya’id Hukum bihi innallaha kaana syamii’an basiira

Meaning: Verily, Allah commands you to give a mandate to those who are entitled to receive it and (orders you) when establishing a law among human beings so that you judge fairly, in fact Allah gives the best teaching to you, in fact Allah is all-hearing, all-seeing. (QS. An-Nisa: 58)

According to the experts in the interpretation of the verse, it contains many things from the main points of religious shari’ah. The verse is general in nature regarding all mukallaf people, both those who serve as rulers and those who do not, namely it is an obligation for the authorities to carry out defense and be fair to people who are persecuted and explain their rights, which is a mandate. Protect the property of the Muslims, especially the property of orphans. The scholars are obliged to teach religious laws to humans in general, this is also a mandate that must be guarded by them and is a top priority that must be fulfilled. Parents are obliged to take care of their children by providing the best education, this is a mandate for them.

All of that is a mandate that must be carried out with the best, because later will be held accountable. The Prophet PBUH said which means:

“From Ibn Umar ra, he said, I have heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say, You are all leaders who will be held accountable for their leadership, Imams are leaders who will be held accountable for the people they lead, men (husbands) are a leader for his family, he will be held accountable for his leadership. The wife is the leader in her husband’s house she will be held accountable for her leadership. The servant is the leader (guarding) of her employer’s property, she will be held accountable for her leadership, And you all are leader and will be held accountable for his leadership (Muttafaq alaih).

In another hadith the Prophet SAW said:

لا لِمَنْ لا لَهُ لا انَ لِمَنْ لا انَةَ لَهُ

Laa diina liman laa ‘ahda lahu wa laa iimaana liman laa amanata lahu

Meaning: There is no religion for those who do not keep the contract, and there is no belief for those who do not have a mandate ” (HR Ahmad, authentic hadith)

On the day of the end of time, every person will be brought before Allah swt, then Allah swt said “Have you given the mandate of so and so? He replied: “No, my Lord.” So Allah ordered an angel to hold his hand and drag him to hell. evil. Then his eyes were shown to the mandate that is in the abyss of hell. So he came down to take the mandate for 70 years, until he came into the abyss. Then he went up again with the mandate, when he got to the top, his foot slipped so that he fall into again, it rises again and falls again, and so on, until the mercy of the powerful reaches it, through the intercession of the chosen prophet Muhammad SAW, Until finally the owner of the mandate gave it up.

Rasulullah SAW also said: “My people will always be in goodness, as long as they do not view the mandate as a gain and alms as a loss.
