Reading the Intention of Praying Witr 1 2 and 3 Rakaat in Congregation along with its Latin

Reading the intention of praying Witr 1, 2 and 3 Rakaat together with the Latin – Witr prayer is one of the sunnah prayers that are performed between Isha and Fajr time which has a minimum number of rakaat from 1 to 11 rakaat. The word witr itself comes from Arabic, namely (وِتْرٌ) which means odd, so that the total number of rak’ahs is odd, such as 1 rak’ah, 3, 5,7,9 to 11 rakaat.

This witr prayer can be done at any time, and can be done alone unless Witr prayer in the month of forgiveness of Ramadan what is done after tarawih, then it is carried out in congregation, but even then if the tarawih is in congregation. It is necessary to know that this sunnah witr prayer was always carried out by the Messenger of Allah during his life and had a law as a sunnah of muakad.

In the procedure for performing the witr prayer, it is the same as other sunnah prayers, for example tarawih prayer both in terms of the pillars to the reading and movement, there is not the slightest difference, namely starting with takhbirutul ikharm and ending with greetings. The difference is only a little which lies in the rak’ah only, which if we do the witr prayer then the first is 2 rak’ahs one time greeting and the second one is 1 rakaat 1 time greeting and so on.
